So, we've had a pretty busy couple of months here. Lynette's married, we've moved and Mom and Dad leave on Monday. Not to mention the Christmas and New Year's holidays. Many of you were here for some of if not all of those events. But here's a rundown anyway.

I'll start with the move. We thought that we'd have the weekend of the 1st of December to move but we found out at 7:30 on the night of the 29th (of November) that we had to be out of the house by 3:00 on the 30th. So, Dad called our home teachers and we had about twenty Elders from the ward at the old house till about 11:00 helping us move. That sure was a crazy weekend. We weren't sure we'd get it done but it ended up being a great thing as there happened to be our first huge snow storm on Saturday. So we were moved but skiwhampus and toasty warm during the storm!

Next, we had Lynette's wedding on the 15th of December. We officially had two months to prepare since she got engaged on the 15th of October. But we had great luck in finding a dress, finding a decorator, and getting the whole family here in time for her sealing! It was an amazing day, and so much fun to have everyone here. And now we have a great new member of the family, I think that Anthony's transition has been and will continue to be relatively painless.

Next, we had another party for Mom and Dad's mission address on the 30th. They both did a wonderful job speaking and we had a great time seeing some extended family again.

And then we had some great fun with those that were here for Christmas and New Year's. We threw a very successful (even if I do say so myself) surprise friend-party for Daniel. Really, it was Mom's idea, because Daniel was prone to complain that he'd never had a friend-party during his growing up years. With the help of his wife, he had no idea and it was a total smash!

Finally, we get to get prepared for Mom and Dad to leave on Monday (January 14). We're not quite sure what we'll do without them. They sure will do well and I know that they'll just have a blast. We found out today that the existing director won't even be there by the time that our parents arrive. Mom & Dad will just have to figure it out on their own--I guess.

I'm sorry if this entry sounds a little bit devoid of personality but I feel like many of you were around for much of this and I didn't want to belabor the issues.

Right now I'm back to teaching my sixth graders, my class of 32 is quite a handful. I will start up on my master's degree classes on Friday. And I have already set a date to see the first of my season ticket shows at Hale Center - "Send me a Tenor" - next Tuesday!
